Obverse description Within a quadrilobe frame, the papal coat-of-arms of Innocent VIII is displayed, surmounted by the crossed keys of Saint Peter and the three-tiered papal tiara. The heraldic achievement is rendered in the Gothic style typical of late 15th-century pontifical coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the quadrilobe border, identifying the issuing pontiff.
