| Reverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, the fortified city gate of Riga is depicted in fine detail, showing a three-towered castle facade with an arched portal and crenellated battlements; above the gate, the crossed keys of the Archbishopric of Riga are prominently displayed surmounting the central tower. Two heraldic supporters flank the upper portion of the castle. The encircling Latin legend, punctuated by pellets, gives the mint city and date, running continuously around the inner beaded border. |
