Obverse description Draped bust of Emperor Charles VI facing right, wearing a long flowing wig with abundant curls, armored at the shoulder with decorative drapery. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque style typical of early 18th-century Habsburg coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading CAROL VI D G ROM IMP S A GER HISP HU B REX, identifying the emperor by his titles as Holy Roman Emperor, King of Germany, Spain, Hungary, and Bohemia. The rim is bordered by a fine milled or beaded edge.
