Reverse description A large bold cross divides the reverse field into four quadrants, each containing a crossed papal key, referencing the apostolic authority of Saint Peter as symbol of the papacy. The keys are depicted in saltire within each angle of the cross, a standard heraldic device of the Holy See. A beaded inner circle encloses the design.
