Obverse description The obverse displays the Singapore State Arms in high relief against a polished mirror field. The shield bears a crescent moon and five stars, flanked by a lion rampant and a tiger as supporters, with a banner beneath. The multilingual national name appears as an arc legend at the top reading 'SINGAPURA' in Latin script, flanked on the left by the Tamil script 'சிங்கப்பூர்' and on the right by the Chinese characters '新加坡'.
