| Aanvullende informatie |
Liberia built a substantial export business throughout the 1990s issuing commemorative dollars for events and anniversaries with no direct connection to the country — Indian independence being one of dozens of such subjects. These pieces were produced for the collector market and saw no meaningful circulation within Liberia itself, where U.S. dollars functioned as the de facto currency.
