Obverse description Right-facing effigy of King George VI wearing the Imperial State Crown, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the crown and regalia. A circular legend surrounds the portrait, with a small dot positioned immediately below the truncation of the bust. The portrait style is characteristic of Percy Metcalfe's sculptural work for British colonial coinage of the period.
