Reverse description Colorized close-up reproduction of Albrecht Dürer's celebrated study of praying hands, rendered in warm sepia and ochre tones on the rectangular silver flan. The design focuses on the interlocked fingers and folded palms of the praying hands, depicted in fine engraved detail with applied color printing faithfully replicating the hatching and shading of Dürer's original pen-and-ink drawing. The image fills the entire reverse field of the rectangular planchet, with no surrounding legend or border ornament, allowing the artwork to serve as the sole decorative element. This piece constitutes the fourth segment (panel 4) of the 24-part Praying Hands collector series issued by Niue.
