Reverse description The reverse depicts two legendary mythological creatures facing one another in a dynamic composition: Pegasus, the winged horse of ancient Greek mythology said to have sprung from the blood of the Gorgon Medusa upon her slaying by Perseus, is shown with wings fully extended. Opposite stands the Qilin, a chimeric Chinese creature combining equine and draconic features, its body wreathed in stylized flames with a single horn projecting from its forehead. Both figures are rendered in high relief with fine engraved detail against a polished background. The date 2014 is spaced across the lower field, flanked by the mint mark PM, with the names of each creature inscribed adjacent to their respective figures.
