Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features a color reproduction of Karl Bryullov's celebrated painting 'The Horsewoman' (Vsadnitsa), depicting an elegant young woman in a white dress and dark hat mounted on a rearing black horse, with a young child in pink observing from a fence at left and a small dog at lower right. The scene is rendered in full polychrome color against the mirror-like proof field of the rectangular flan. In the upper left corner, a raised uncolored effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, shown as a diademed and draped bust after the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait. The legend '1 DOLLAR' appears at upper right, '2010' below it, 'ELIZABETH II' curves along the left border of the effigy, 'Ag 925' is inscribed at lower right, and 'NIUE ISLAND' is engraved in large relief lettering along the bottom margin.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a richly composed design combining color and relief elements commemorating the Russian Romantic painter Karl Bryullov (1799–1852). At center, a color reproduction of Bryullov's self-portrait depicts the artist in three-quarter view, resting his arm pensively, rendered against a mirror proof field. Flanking the central portrait are two large relief figures of draped classical female figures raising their arms to support a decorative vine and grape cluster motif across the upper field. In the lower portion of the design, a color detail from Bryullov's painting 'Nuns of the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Rome' shows a group of veiled nuns engaged in song and reading, partially rendered in color and partially in frosted relief. The artist's name 'KARL BRULLOV' is inscribed in relief along the upper border, with his birth and death years '1799' and '1852' appearing at lower left and lower right respectively within small cartouches.
