| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a full-colour reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci's anatomical study of the human shoulder, rendered in the characteristic brown ink and wash technique of the master's original drawing. The detailed study depicts the musculature and skeletal structure of the shoulder joint from a three-quarter perspective, with the sinuous lines of tendons and muscles meticulously illustrated. Handwritten notations in mirror script, faithful to da Vinci's original manuscript style, appear in the upper right field of the composition. The artwork is printed directly onto the silver surface, faithfully capturing the warm sepia tones and cross-hatching of the Renaissance original. The overall composition fills the rectangular flan to its borders, emphasising the artistic and scientific genius of da Vinci. |
