| Reverse description | Central field displays a multi-line Kufic inscription naming the issuing authority, with the word 'الله' at the apex followed by the name and titles of the rebel governor Yahya b. Ahmad, arranged in four lines within a double linear circle; a continuous marginal legend in Arabic Kufic script surrounds the central field, and a further outer marginal inscription runs along the coin's periphery. The engraving is bold and angular, typical of provincial hammered gold dinars of the early fourth century AH. |
