| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, the interlaced Gothic monogram of Gian Galeazzo Visconti (GZ or GGZ) occupies the central field, rendered in relief in the Gothic style characteristic of late-14th-century Milanese coinage. A small cross appears at the top of the inner circle. The surrounding annular field bears the legend between the inner beaded circle and the coin's irregular outer rim. |
