Obverse description Irregular oval flan bearing a bold Arabic calligraphic legend in relief, arranged in two registers across the field. The upper portion displays a characteristic Mughal tughra-style cartouche with the royal epithet and imperial title of Muhammad Shah rendered in cursive Nasta'liq script. The coin exhibits the typical crude, hand-struck character of provincial Mughal copper coinage, with an uneven, slightly raised border and a patinated dark brown surface consistent with heavy circulation wear. The legend reads 'Sikka Mubarak Badshah Ghazi Muhammad Shah', proclaiming the auspicious coinage of the warrior king Muhammad Shah.
