| Obverse description | Irregular hammered flan bearing the regnal date rendered in stylized Arabic script occupying the central field. The inscription, expressing the date in words following Mughal numismatic convention, is boldly struck in high relief against a rough, granular surface typical of base-metal Mughal coinage. The design is enclosed within a roughly circular border, with the script arranged in a cursive, interlocking fashion characteristic of Akbar-period dam issues. |
