Obverse description Draped bust of Queen Christina of Sweden facing right, her hair dressed and adorned with a small crown, wearing an elaborately decorated mantle with lace collar, the effigy enclosed within a rope-edged inner circle. The surrounding legend reads in Latin, separated by punctuation marks, identifying the queen by her full royal titles. The portrait is rendered in the Baroque style characteristic of mid-17th century Swedish coinage, with fine detail in the drapery and facial features.

Reverse description Central shield bearing the arms of the City of Riga — a castle flanked by two rampant lions — surmounted by crossed keys, the traditional symbol of Riga's civic authority. The date appears below the shield, flanked by the engraver's initials H and W. The entire design is enclosed within a rope-edged inner circle and surrounded by a Latin legend identifying the coin as a new silver issue of the City of Riga.
