Obverse description Bareheaded, armored bust of Herman Diederik (Herman Theodoor van Bronckhorst) facing semi-right, wearing a raised plate collar, presented in a vigorous late-Renaissance style. The two-digit date is divided by the bust within the field. A beaded inner circle frames the effigy, with the baronial legend arranged in Latin capitals within the outer margin. The portrait conveys a strong heraldic character typical of minor German-Dutch lordships of the late sixteenth century.
