| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, engraved by Arnold Machin. The effigy is rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and drapery at the truncation. The legend 'ISLE OF MAN' arcs along the left field and 'ELIZABETH II' along the right, both in raised Latin capitals. The date '1983' appears in the lower exergue beneath the portrait.
