| Reverse description | The reverse displays a stylized maple twig bearing two leaves and a seed pod, a design originally created by George Kruger Gray that has appeared on Canadian one-cent coinage since 1937. The denomination CENT appears above the central device, while the four-digit date is positioned to the lower left of the twig. The country name CANADA arcs along the lower periphery, and the designer's initials K·G appear discreetly within the field. The composition is contained within a plain circular border with no additional ornamentation. |
