Additional information

Ghana's "Year of the Dragon" cedi is a curiosity of modern numismatic marketing — the lunar calendar series has no cultural roots in West Africa whatsoever, produced entirely for collector export rather than domestic circulation. The Bank of Ghana has issued a string of such thematic pieces since the 2010s, licensing designs to international distributors who sell primarily into Asian and European collector markets.

KM#65 saw limited genuine circulation in Ghana.
