The surface is devoid of any inscription, mint mark, or decorative device, conforming to the typical anonymous reverse design of contemporary Song Dynasty circulation coinage. The field displays a dense, mottled patina of deep green verdigris interspersed with sandy ochre encrustations, consistent with prolonged burial. The casting seam and surface texture reflect the hand-finished quality characteristic of Song mint production. |
