| Reverse description | Cast iron cash coin reverse featuring a central square perforation with a raised inner square rim. To the left and right of the central hole are two Manchu script characters reading 'Boo-chiowan' (ᠪᠣᠣ ᠴᡳᠣᠸᠠᠨ), the Manchu rendering of the mint name for the Board of Revenue mint in Beijing. The upper and lower fields are plain and unadorned. A raised outer rim borders the coin. The surface exhibits the rough, granular texture typical of cast iron Qing dynasty cash coins from this period, with patination consistent with age and burial. |
