| Reverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing the Shi'a profession of faith (Kalima) distributed across three horizontal registers within the field: 'La ilaha ill-Allah / Muhammad Rasul Allah / Ali Wali Allah' (There is no god but God / Muhammad is the Messenger of God / Ali is the Friend of God). The bold naskh-style calligraphy is characteristic of late Safavid mint production, with the text filling the field to the rim. The design is enclosed within a plain inner border and a dentilated (beaded) outer border. |
