正面描述 Central field dominated by a multi-line Persian legend in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy, occupying the full face of the coin. The inscription, rendered in high relief, contains the royal titles and name of Fath Ali Shah Qajar. The field is enclosed by a beaded inner border, with a further ornamental border of alternating floral rosettes and scrollwork encircling the periphery. The overall design is characteristic of early Qajar hammered coinage, with the script arranged in three sweeping horizontal registers.

附加信息

Fath Ali Shah's reign saw persistent fragmentation in Iranian minting practice — weights, dies, and local standards varied considerably between Tabriz, Tehran, Isfahan, and other active mints. Tabriz, as the seat of the crown prince and the commercial gateway to Ottoman and Russian trade, maintained its own die-cutting traditions largely independent of Tehran. The "Type C" designation reflects one of several die layout shifts made during this reign, the precise sequencing of which remains debated among specialists working from the Rabino corpus.

These fractional rials circulated heavily in the northwestern bazaar economy and survivors in crisp condition are genuinely scarce.
