Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, set within a prominent diamond-shaped (lozenge) inner frame. The emperor is depicted with his characteristic long flowing wig and distinctive physiognomy. The denomination mark '1/4' appears in an oval cartouche at the base of the lozenge. The circular Latin legend runs along the outer rim, reading LEOPOLD D G R I S A GER HUN BOH REX, with the milled edge border encircling the entire design.

Reverse description The crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed, bearing on its breast a large baroque shield of arms quartering the Habsburg territories, set within a diamond-shaped (lozenge) inner frame matching the obverse design. The eagle's wings are spread boldly to either side, filling the lozenge. The date 1704 appears in the outer circular legend, which reads ARCHID AVST DVX A B E CA RIN DVX, distributed around the coin's periphery with the milled edge border.
