Obverse description Draped and armored bust of Frederik III with flowing long hair, facing right, set within a beaded inner circle. The royal effigy is rendered in a Baroque portrait style characteristic of mid-17th century Scandinavian coinage. The legend, reading clockwise from the lower portion of the coin, is contained in the outer annulus between the beaded circle and the milled rim. A mintmark appears at the conclusion of the legend.
