Beschrijving voorzijde	Central field dominated by bold Arabic calligraphic legends arranged in a traditional Mughal style, with the royal epithet and imperial title of Shah Alam II rendered in flowing Naskh script. A small floral rosette ornament appears in the upper portion of the field, flanked by two small lozenge-shaped decorative devices at left and right. The legends, which are largely off-flan due to the small flan diameter relative to the die, read 'Sikka Mubarak Badshah Ghazi Shah Alam' (The auspicious coin of the victorious Emperor Shah Alam). The flan shows typical characteristics of Surat mint production of the period.
