The inscription reads 'Zarb Dar al-Mu'minin Kashan', indicating the coin was struck at the 'Abode of the Faithful', the honorific title of the Kashan mint. The large, sweeping letterforms are characteristic of Qajar-era hammered coinage, with no additional decorative elements, border, or exergue.
