| Obverse description | The obverse displays the elaborate ecclesiastical coat of arms of the Archbishop of Salzburg, surmounted by a galero with pendant tassels and a processional cross above the shield. The quartered shield bears the heraldic devices of the Salzburg archbishopric combined with the personal arms of Andreas Jakob von Dietrichstein. The composition is rendered in fine relief with strong detail in the tassels and mantling surrounding the escutcheon. A beaded border frames the design, and the Latin legend is divided and reads around the periphery of the field. |
