Charles VI spent much of this decade consumed by the diplomatic campaign to secure acceptance of the Pragmatic Sanction, the decree that would allow his daughter Maria Theresa to inherit the Habsburg lands. The Hall mint in Tyrol was among the most productive imperial facilities of the period, drawing on silver from the Schwaz mines whose output, though past its sixteenth-century peak, still fed the coinage meaningfully into the 1720s.
