Obverse description Draped and armored bust of King Frederik III facing right, with long flowing curly hair, contained within an inner beaded circle. The royal effigy is rendered in the baroque portrait style typical of mid-17th century Scandinavian coinage. A circular Latin legend runs clockwise outside the beaded border, commencing at the upper portion of the field. The rim is defined by a secondary beaded circle.
