| Description de l’avers | Armored bust of King Christian IV facing right, wearing a crown and an elaborately engraved suit of armor with a prominent ruff collar, rendered in the Baroque portrait style typical of early 17th-century Danish-Norwegian coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The circumferential legend in Roman capitals reads CHRISTIANVS IIII · D : G · DANI · NOR · REX, identifying the monarch as King of Denmark and Norway by the Grace of God. An inner field inscription, MA(T) / PIETA(S) / REGNA(T), appears in the field around the bust, a devotional motto associated with Christian IV issues. The outer rim is defined by a milled border. |

| Description du revers | The crowned lion rampant of Norway dominates the central field, depicted in high relief facing left with an axe held over its shoulder, a composition characteristic of Norwegian royal coinage of the period. The date 1648 is divided on either side of the lion, and the mintmaster's initials PC appear below the lion's feet. A small mint mark or rose device is visible at the base of the legend. The surrounding circumferential legend, BENEDICTIO : DOMINI : DIVITES : FACIT, translates as 'The Lord's blessing makes rich,' framed between a beaded inner circle and a milled outer border. |
