Obverse description Uncrowned, draped bust of Queen Victoria facing left, after the design by William Wyon, with hair swept back and gathered in ringlets at the nape of the neck. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the hair and drapery. The divided legend in Latin script reads VICTORIA to the left and QUEEN to the right of the bust, running along the inner periphery. The entire design is contained within a bold toothed or beaded border.
