Reverse description Central medallion contains the denomination legend HALF RUPEE INDIA flanked by dots, the date below, and the Urdu inscription هشت آنہ (eight annas) at the foot of the central device. The surrounding field is richly decorated with an elaborate floral wreath incorporating English roses, Scottish thistles, Irish shamrocks, and a lotus blossom at the apex within an arched cartouche, all rendered in fine relief against a beaded border. The overall composition is symmetrical and highly ornate, reflecting the Indo-British aesthetic of the late colonial period.
