The castle, symbol of the Kingdom of Castile, is rendered in high relief with considerable detail. A beaded border separates the central device from the outer circumferential legend, which reads ENRICVS REX CASTELLE in Gothic Latin characters. The reverse design is fully consistent with standard Enriquean half-real coinage of the Segovia mint. |
