Reverse description Central field bearing a highly detailed representation of a multi-turreted Gothic castle, the heraldic symbol of Castile, set within a quadrilobe or four-lobed cusped frame with beaded inner border. The castle is depicted with three towers, the central tower taller and surmounted by a battlement, flanked by two smaller towers, all rendered in the characteristic late medieval Castilian style. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device reading ENRICVS REX CASTELLE, identifying the issuer as Henry IV, King of Castile. The outer border is formed by a beaded or rope-pattern rim consistent with hammered coinage of the period.
