Obverse description Draped and crowned effigy of Queen Victoria facing left, with an elaborate imperial crown and richly ornamented neckline. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the style characteristic of William Wyon, with fine detail in the hair and lace collar. The divided legend VICTORIA QUEEN arcs around the upper field, flanking the bust to left and right. The rim is bounded by a toothed or beaded border throughout.
