Obverse description Left-facing crowned effigy of Queen Victoria with a draped bust, rendered in the style associated with William Wyon. The legend 'VICTORIA EMPRESS B' is divided and arcs around the portrait within a toothed border. A countermark denoting the Bombay mint appears on the rim. The portrait is finely modelled in the classical tradition, with the Queen shown in regal attire befitting an imperial coinage pattern.
