Reverse description A voided short cross extending to the inner beaded circle, with quatrefoils of pellets arranged in each of the four angles, a design diagnostic of class 5 Short Cross coinage. The moneyer's name and mint name are inscribed around the periphery in uncial Latin letterforms, divided by the arms of the cross. The coin is struck as a half-flan, so only a portion of the full reverse design and legend is present on any given specimen. The beaded inner circle frames the central cross motif, providing a clean boundary between the central design and the surrounding inscription.
