| 背面描述 | A crown depicted in the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle, serving as the heraldic symbol of royal authority during the Sten Sture the Elder regency. A circular Latin legend surrounds the beaded circle in the outer field, incorporating the mint name Stockholm and concluding with the final digit of the date. The inscription references the Stockholm mint and provides a partial date, with the last numeral '8' appearing at the legend's end to denote the year 1478. |

Sten Sture the Elder governed Sweden not as king but as regent — a deliberately ambiguous position he held through political maneuvering after the Battle of Brunkeberg in 1471, where Swedish and Finnish forces defeated the Danish-backed King Christian I on the outskirts of Stockholm. Coinage struck under his regency occupied equally uncertain legal ground, issued in the name of Swedish authority without a crowned monarch to anchor it.
The half örtug is the smallest denomination in this series. The Lagerqvist references 9a through 9e indicate documented die variations across the type, suggesting multiple production runs rather than a single consolidated striking.
