Obverse description A royal crown occupies the central field, set within a beaded inner circle. The crown is rendered in the Gothic hammered style typical of late medieval Swedish coinage, with arched forms clearly visible despite characteristic die wear. A circular Latin legend in uncial lettering runs between the beaded circle and the coin's irregular outer edge, invoking the name and title of Saint Erik.
