Obverse description Irregular hammered copper flan bearing a bold Arabic legend in two or three lines filling the entire field, reading the ruler's name and title. The script is rendered in a characteristic Maldivian hand with deeply incised strokes typical of hand-engraved dies of the period. No border or additional decorative elements are present, the legend occupying the full coin surface. The flan edges are naturally irregular, reflecting the primitive striking technique employed at the Maldivian mint in the late 18th century.
