| Descrizione del dritto | Central field features an ornate tournament helmet surmounted by a crest of peacock feathers, rendered in the Gothic heraldic style characteristic of late medieval Low Countries coinage. Flanking the helmet at either side are the quartered shields of Guelders and Jülich, disposed in the field. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, with the surrounding circumscription in uncial Latin letterforms reading the ruler's full ducal titles. The overall composition is typical of the chivalric imagery employed on Reinoud IV's issues. |
