Obverse description Central device comprises a tilted shield bearing the quarterly arms of Burgundy-Brabant, surmounted by a crested helm topped with a fleur-de-lis finial, the whole supported by two rampant lions serving as heraldic supporters. The word BRABAT appears in the exergue below the shield. The surrounding legend, rendered in Gothic lettering, reads AnThOnIVS:DI:G:DX:BRABAT:Z:LIMB, identifying Anthony as Duke of Brabant and Limburg by the grace of God.
