| Descripción del reverso | A large, boldly rendered fleur-de-lis dominates the central field, its three stylized petals executed in the Gothic decorative manner typical of Aragonese florins modelled on the Florentine prototype. The design is finely detailed with foliate scrollwork at the base of the lily. The surrounding peripheral Latin legend reads ARAGO REX AL, identifying Alfonso V as King of Aragon. Small decorative stops or pellets punctuate the legend. The hammered flan exhibits the characteristic irregularity of medieval gold coinage struck at the Valencia mint. |
