| Reverse description | The reverse is entirely occupied by a dense, highly ornate multi-line Arabic inscription in flowing Naskh script, arranged within an elaborate cartouche framework radiating from a central oval medallion. The central medallion bears the denomination inscription, while surrounding panels contain the royal titles and name of the ruler Mir Usman Ali Khan, Nizam of Hyderabad. The field is filled to capacity with interlocking calligraphic elements in high relief, the whole enclosed by a beaded outer border consistent with the obverse. |
