Obverse description Left-facing crowned and draped bust of Queen Victoria, wearing the small imperial crown and an elaborately ornamented bodice with fine foliate detailing. The effigy is rendered in high relief with meticulous engraving, showing the Queen's hair dressed in tight curls at the nape. The legend VICTORIA EMPRESS arcs around the periphery, with VICTORIA to the left and EMPRESS to the right of the bust, all within a finely toothed border.
