| Reverse description | Central denomination inscription HALF ANNA arranged within a beaded circle, with the legend INDIA and the date below, all contained within a wreath of Indian flora tied at the base. The wreath is rendered in fine relief and enclosed by a toothed (dentilated) outer rim. The overall design is clean and heraldic in character, typical of mid-Victorian colonial coinage produced at the Calcutta, Bombay, and Madras mints. |
