| Obverse description | Left-facing crowned effigy of Queen Victoria, rendered in high relief with finely detailed drapery and an ornate imperial crown. The bust is draped and exhibits elaborate scrollwork on the garment, consistent with the Wyon portrait used for British Indian coinage of the period. The legend VICTORIA EMPRESS is arranged in two arcs flanking the effigy, reading vertically on each side of the field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
