Reverse description Central field bears the denomination 1/12 ANNA in three lines, separated from the word INDIA and the date below by a short horizontal rule, all enclosed within an inner beaded circle. Surrounding this central inscription is an elaborate wreath of intertwining foliate and floral vine scrollwork extending to the beaded rim, lending the design a distinctly Anglo-Indian decorative character.
